Feel like crap

I feel terrible. Apparently, the weeds are starting to bloom--not sure which ones, but I know I'm allergic to ragweed--and as a result, I've spent the last three days doing my best to hack up my lungs. I probably need to call to get my prescription for Advair renewed. I don't think I'll be making it to sparring tonight. Tea and cough drops don't help much. I didn't get much done this weekend. Went to the Powderhorn Arts festival Saturday, but didn't do anything Sunday except read. I'm dreading the bike ride in today. I'll probably take the bike on the train today. Breathing hurts. Can't blow work off today; there's a huge filing tomorrow I have to help get ready for today. Urgh.

Not going to work because you're sick is not "blowing off" work. It's putting yourself and your health ahead of your work. Priorities, you silly woman!

(Says the currently-unemployed man. But still.)

According to Weather.com, the pollen count is high for today and tomorrow, and moving into Very High the two days after that.

(I woke up yesterday with a sore throat, and feeling lousy, though thankfully, not so much with the coughing so far.)

If a bit of schadenfreude will help perk your mood, I too feel like crap--literally. I got hit with a bout of stomach flu last night about a half hour after starting my shift at work, and actually left to take the night's last bus back to Mpls. Upon arriving home, head hit pillow and I conked out all night. This, after sleeping most of the day and evening yesterday. Allergies are behaving so far, thanks to nettle leaf and having an air conditioner again, but anyway your misery has company. :-)

Oh, ugh. My friend's elder son is terribly allergic to ragweed, so, right about August 15th, he becomes completely house-bound until the stuff goes away again. I hope you can get some satisfactory treatment soon. Btw, have you tried a Neti pot? Thoroughly rinsing the allergens out of your nasal passages a couple of times a day might help, too. And it's cheap.

*hug*

I'm so sorry!

My allergies are so bad these past few days that I still have post-nasal drip even with my Xyrtek and my Flonase.

gah!
