Ok, this song really got under my skin today
This is a Christmas Wizard Rock song by The Brothers Black (yes, not only is there wizard rock, there's holiday wizard rock). It's not only beautiful, it says exactly what I've been feeling lately about how playing
hpalternity is helping keep all those cold, encroaching fears about the future at bay. Repelling the dementors. This came up on my wizard rock Christmas list today, and I listened to the first simple verse and I just lost it, crying at my desk.
Fortunately, no one noticed before I pulled myself back together.

When you think you've got so far to goYou can listen to (and buy) this beautiful song here. All three of The Brothers' Black songs are very much worth a listen.
And you know you face it all alone
When you wonder if you'll ever see what's good again
And you believe what you believe is unbelievable
The stairs may change and you'll lose your way
But you can always find it here
And Hogwarts is home
Hogwarts is my home
Hogwarts is home
for Christmas
Outside, the world is cold and frightening
full of Dursleys, Dementors, and Deatheaters, too
But in here, the hallways are warm and inviting
In here there is family waiting for you
The stairs may change and you'll lose your way
But you can always find it here
And Hogwarts is home
Hogwarts is my home
Hogwarts is home
for Christmas
I prayed so hard for something to hold onto
something to hold onto
worth holding onto
And Hogwarts is home
Hogwarts is my home
Hogwarts is home
Hogwarts is my home
Hogwarts is home
for Christmas
I'm already home.
