One of my pet peeves at work is the vast quantity of paper towels we go through in the bathroom. That, and the water we go through. People turn the water on then leave it run down the drain for 20 seconds while they scrub their hands. All our faucets are single handle, you can easily turn them on with the back of your hand when it's time to rinse.

Heck, there are some people who turn the water on to dampen their toothbrushes, then leave it run FULL BLAST for 1 to 2 minutes while they brush their teeth.

Then people pull AT LEAST 2 paper towels to dry their hands. One is sufficient. You don't get your hands bone dry, but you get them dry enough that they air dry within 15 seconds while walking back to your desk.

I swear this is true, I've seen people take SIX paper towels, wipe, wipe, toss. I bet half of them didn't even get wet.

Honestly, I've taken to wiping my hands on my pants to make up for some of these people. Sometimes I take a paper towel to clean my glasses, but then I generally fold it up (it's just a bit damp) and use it the next time I wash my hands.
