I encountered the Guard, and their extremely questionable armament, in downtown Mpls the morning of the verdict, but did not notice the preparations to block highway ramps. I had plans to visit a friend in Edina that evening, and when I heard the verdict was coming, I high-tailed it out of St Paul to arrive ahead of the verdict. I thought I was likely *protestors* would block the highways.
