I'm sure you'll be SHOCKED to hear that I do this.

I've described it to Lyda as feeling like I want to bathe in the thing I'm obsessing on -- fanfic but also fan vids and music and art. Some of it is an impulse to recapture a very specific feeling I had while reading or watching the first time, and usually initially I can get it back pretty easily but it fades as time passes and I tend to lose interest.
