You are indeed super avid. I used to be more avid a book reader than I am now, partly because websites compete with books for my reading time, partly because my job keeps me busy, and partly I suspect, because of advancing years. C.S. Lewis wrote something about that: we read books partly to gain an understanding of the world and the different views people take of it, so, once someone is a middle-aged adult who has already read many books, he is less eager than he was as an adolescent to curl up with a new book.
