The Periodic Table of Haiku

I heard about this on National Public Radio yesterday. Move your cursor over the periodic table and read the haiku associated with each element.

Eg:

1 Hydrogen

two-thirds of water
a big part of all of us
and the bones of stars

This is all part of a site, http://www.iscifistory.com, which seems interesting:
iSciFiStory.com offers simple writing exercises that can be shared and enjoyed among science fiction and fantasy writers. These exercises include Flash Fiction, Writer's Roulette, and Poetry Exercises. Each of these exercises are designed for the "Writer on the Go" who juggles a life in addition to harboring a passion for writing sci-fi and fantasy. Even writers with little or no time can usually find the time for a short Flash Fiction or poem.
Looks intriguing. Will explore further.

Being Un-American

I refer you again to [livejournal.com profile] wicked_wish's journal, this time to read this post on why she's un-American. I do enjoy reading Cherie's posts on my friends page.
