I purchased a futon today to go into my former office/Fiona's former bedroom/hopefully my office again someday as well as a guest bedroom.

As you can see, it has the Fiona Seal of Approval. It's on the smallish side, which makes it perfect for this space, and it just feels cozy to me. The back isn't too tall so it won't cover up the built in bookcase on the wall where I am going to place it.

Not in that fabric, though. There weren't many choices for this model, but here was one that did make me think, glancingly, of trees, so this is the fabric I picked.

It will be ready to be picked up in about 10 days. So I will have guest sleeping quarters for out of town caregivers. Or at least one out of town caregiver at a time. Phew.

I went to visit him for just a short while (after buying the futon). He wasn't feeling very well, poor guy. There are all sorts of strict rules for visitors: no more than 3 visitors at a time, masks at all times on the floor, if you have outerwear, it can't be brought into the room, sanitize your hands every time before entering the room, etc. All the rooms are private.

I hope they will hit upon a solution for the gut pain that has been bringing him low today. He is definitely not feeling very perky.

Short CaringBridge post here, mainly to ask for help this coming Saturday afternoon reorganizing the garage. We need to reshuffle the boxes into a more useable configuration and add more boxes from Rob's de-constructed mancave. The fun starts at 1:00 p.m., and I hope that the people who said that snow starts tomorrow were only kidding. The CaringBridge post has instructions on where to email if you think you can attend. Thank you.
