1. When did you first "friend" me? 11 March 2004, but I'd been reading you since around June or July of the previous year. I just hadn't really gotten much into a friendlist yet.
2. Why did you first "friend" me? Because I'd been reading you and noticed the utility of the friendslist, but that begs the question a bit. I read Wild Swans and loved it, and then when I came over here you were talking about ice palace book stuff and Sebastian Joe's. And I was very homesick and looking to move home to Minneapolis, so that stuff really clicked.
3. What posts of mine do you like to read the best? Glare reports are good, stuff about the girls is good. Whatever, really.
4. What would you like me to write about that I don't? I don't think this ought to be a command performance.
5. Do you think we would be friends in real life? This is an odd question to me, because I'm not sure what level of friendship is meant. I certainly did not feel unfriendly to you when I have seen you in person, and if I see you at a con or a party in the future (in the near future, possibly), I would feign extroversion for long enough to say hi and maybe chat a minute. I think "if circumstances allowed it, yes" has a sufficiently broad caveat.
6. How often do you read my journal? When you post in it and it shows up on my friends page.
7. What do we have in common? Books. A city. Some friends/acquaintances. A certain headlong overscheduled persistence, from the sounds of it.
8. Will you post this in your journal so I can answer? Probably not, but I might. You can answer it here if you have something to say. I'm a little wary of questions 4 and 9, not from you but from a very few other people on my friendslist.
9. Is there anything you want to ask me that you think you should know about me to avoid the impersonality of the internet that I have not already covered in some TMI post or other? I don't think you owe me any information at all, personal or impersonal. If you haven't chosen to share it, I don't think I "should" know it. It sounds like I'm not the only one.
