Back from the doctor's

She took a chest x-ray and gave me two prescriptions. One is an inhaler for allergies/asthma, and one is an antibiotic for the walking pneumonia.

Boy, no wonder my workouts have mostly sucked for the past month.

Um. Aie! I'm glad you have the scrip. Walking pneumonia -- eurgh.

Ouch! Hope you're feeling better soon!

Yay! Drugs!

Seriously, though, it's good to know what it is that ails you. Do what you have to get well, which is hard as all get out to do when you are the Mom. You don't get to be the sickie, even when you are.

Aww. *pats the sick boo* You need some hot miso soup, and lots of it.

Oh, Peg.

I had pneumonia last year and wound up hospitalized. I will tell you what the doctor told me: Lungs take a long time to heal. Even after the infection is finished, don't be surprised if you're very tired. Right now, rest as much as you can.

Get well soon.

AIEEEEEEE!

Take care of yourself!

Get well!

Lungs do take a long time to heal, as someone else said (my experience is about 6-12 months after an acute asthma issue or major lung-affecting thing: substantial improvement within 1-2 months once it starts getting better, but the final portions take a while.)

The air quality in the Twin Cities has also been seriously not-great this weekend, so be extra careful for a bit. (Though the storm system that's blowing through right now may help out a bit.)

Wow. You really got double-whammied. Be gentle with yourself; I've had pneumonia, and it's hard on the body.

Yargh. And you wonder why you can't do much writing.

I have my next belt test this Friday. Great timing.

Be careful!!! A guy from my stormchase list died from walking pneumonia! He was 18. Very scary. Take it easy and rest!

My experience with pneumonia was that every time I overexerted, I paid dear for it, usually by having to sleep for several days.
