Hysterical joy

There's going to be an ice palace at the St. Paul Winter Carnival this year! Oh boy! Golden research opportunity!

*Happy dances off stage left to deliver kiss to new laptop*

Cheers,
Peg

Maybe you should visit with "Frank Anderson at SLL/Leo A. Daly."

They said it might be even bigger :)

I'm already scheming to find out if the architects I know (Inga, and Doug the architect at my church who introduced me to her) know him, so that they can introduce me. But yes, I'll probably try to approach him, and also the ice palace committee to see if I can get a ring-side seat to how it is built, etc.

*blows kiss to Peg's new laptop from afar*

I wish I could be there to see the building of the Ice Palace! Here, it would not last five minutes sadly. Hope you get the ring-side seats.

Well, there's a happy bit of synchronicity for you. Good luck!

Oh, god.

I haven't been so violently homesick since the national news showed a clip of snow in St. Paul.

Every year as a kid we went to the winter carnival. I'd sit and stare at that glorious palace until my parents couldn't take the cold, and there was only *one* thought on my mind.

Getting inside.

*sigh*

Do you mind if I befriend you, if only in the LJ-sense? As a Minnesotan far from his homeland and the host body of a novel premise that's decided he's the one to get it out on paper, your LJ interests me quite a bit. :)

Sure, fine. I can understand being homesick for Minnesota. Feel free to chime in with ideas when I'm talking about brainstorming. (I won't promise to use 'em, you understand, but I like to hear them!)

Cheers,
Peg
