I read your journal because YOU are interesting, not because you are the Amazing WonderWoman Fantabulous AUTHOR who should be cranking out conference presentation abstracts two hours after leaving the surgeon's table. Yeesh. Go thee to the Birchwood, cantankerous digestive system notwithstanding, and have thyself a merry time with thy friends. As others have already noted, if you don't make the deadline for this conference, there will be others. And you can still, possibly, attend the conference and at least keep a toe in the water that way.
