I found that when gas gets over $3 a gallon, it's cheaper for me to take the bus, with my old job . . . but I didn't pay for parking. For other people it would be a lower price, since I drove a very small car that got a lot of miles per gallon.

So yeah, even if you don't pay to park, there comes a point at which public transportation was still cheaper.
