Perhaps, due to the horrible economy, it would be good for him to stay away from sales jobs in the future. Since he has both the law and computer background, however, he could possibly be a good candidate for an in-house counsel job at a technology company. He knows about tech but he's also got a law degree, and it would probably be a lot less buttoned-down than a law firm, where they wouldn't value his computer background as much. He could highlight that aspect of his resume, also prominently mention the law degree and hunt for a different sort of position than he might have done in the past. I know that the companies that Chris has worked for always kept their in-house lawyers very busy dealing with contracts and negotiations; Rob's a good negotiator, too, and he should highlight that skill as well when looking for jobs.
