Delia says thank you!

She was delighted with all the terrific suggestions that people had for her, and she'd like to try a number of them. She did indeed get Rob to take her to Michael's yesterday and got yarn to make a blanket, which she has already started.

She has a jewelry-making lesson today, so today will be a good day. I'll post pictures of the blanket (if she's agreeable) as she progresses. [livejournal.com profile] bohemianspirit, she said she likes the idea of getting together for a crochet time, but it'll have to wait until we get back from Portus.

Would you like me to send you some beads and other jewelry making stuff for Delia. I have tons and tons of stuff that I will probably never use.

Oh, good. I'll look forward to it. And she does have the whole summer ahead of her, after all! Just contact me when you are ready to make arrangements.

I meant to congratulate you on being able to go to Portus, though it's too bad you can't get to Snapefest. That would have been my first priority, but I understand that space was limited. Anyway, I was looking at the web site, and saw a few panels and presentations that interest me: "Outcasts: Stigmatized by Hogwarts," "Harry Potter and the Redefinition of the Hero’s Journey," and, of course, "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly: A Look at the Life of Severus Snape." If you attend any or all of these, please take very good notes and share them. ;-) Thanks.

I think it would be good to encourage her to post about her projects here. :) I know I often get bored halfway through and leave things unfinished, so the reinforcement from comments might be useful. And I'm sure we'd all love to hear about them, too. :D Plus, she gets to practice writing.
