See! I told you you'd quickly beat my numbers. I managed 10 for the final set and it HURT. However, my muscles are feeling much better today than they did before I did the pushups yesterday, so perhaps the exercise was just what I needed.
I've decided to stay on the first column until the week 2 endurance test, and move up then if applicable. I haven't done push-ups in AGES, so I'm concerned that if I moved up now, I'd be doing too much too soon. I still think I need to work on my form a bit, because on the last set it felt like my back was drooping a little.
I am "feeling the burn" now. But this just makes me even more excited about this program, because this is the area of my body that could benefit the most from strength exercises.
