Tweets for Today

Good morning, LJ! Here's what I've been up to on Twitter today.

  • 06:35 Listening to the new Radio Heartland www.radioheartland.org, which is replacing The Morning Show. May have to get hi def radio. #
  • 10:18 drinking coffee and eating half a chocolate muffin. Hey, cut me some slack: at least I didn't take the WHOLE chocolate muffin. #
  • 14:14 @purpure: Bought eggnog this year to make my own eggnog lattes (w/ my espresso maker machine). Save $; mixed eggnog w/skim, save calories #
  • 14:26 Style of dress I am wearing requires that I carry cell phone in my brassiere. I feel like a secret agent. #
  • 14:32 Of course, there may be some unintended hilarity if my boob suddenly starts ringing the Harry Potter theme song. #
  • 16:11 Yes! My left boob rang! It was my mother! Fortunately, no one was near enough to laugh at me. #
  • 16:25 Am going to go see Shadowlands at the Guthrie tonight--holiday event for law firm. Will be sure to turn my left boob off. #

I'm completely cracking up at the idea of you carrying your cell phone in your bra, and having your boobs play the HP theme song.

I couldn't get the Radio Heartland link to work; what kind of things will be on the new show?

Try this link for Radio Heartland. You can listen on the internet. There was a local public radio program called "The Morning Show" which had two DJs, Tom Keith (you may have heard him if you've ever listened to A Prairie Home Companion; he was the sounds effects man) and Dale Connolly. Tom Keith announced his retirement, so they stopped doing the show on standard radio, but Dale Connolly announced that they've started Radio Heartland, where they will play the sort of radio they had on the Morning Show, 24/7, via the internet. Very eclectic, folk and novelty songs. I learned about some of my favorite singers on the Morning Show: Greg Brown, Peter Mayer, Ruth MacKenzie, Lucy Kaplansky, John Gorka, Eva Cassidy, Cheryl Wheeler, Claudia Schmidt, etc., etc. It will also be here in the twin cities on high definition radio.
