After a week of no exercise (very foreign to me), arnica, Tylenol, ice, heat, compression bandage and elevation, I cautiously did a test this morning: a full squat, so that the backs of my thighs rested on my calves. The result: agony.

Ok, ok. It's not getting better on its own. I'm seeing the doctor at 3:15 today. They'll take some X-rays and then we'll see.

I really hope I won't have to have surgery.

What I did yesterday to help make the world a better place:

Attended a meeting for the Mexican mission trip. I also heard another person signed up with Kiva on my referral.

Damn. I hope the doctor will have a straightforward cure. If this ends up requiring PT, I know a really, really good Physical Therapist; let me know if you want more info. (There are problems that can be solved by cookie-cutter PT approaches, in which case you'd probably want someone in your network that's close to your office. Other problems require a really GOOD PT and it's worth the extra cost and hassle to find someone who really, really knows what he or she is doing, so let me know if you find yourself in that situation.)

If I do need Physical Therapy, then I'm definitely going back to the Minnesota Sports Medicine clinic I went to when I damaged the ligaments in my right hand several years ago. It's close to my workplace and home, and I was extremely impressed with them, and they knew exactly what they were doing.

Sports medicine centers are awesome, if my previous experience is anything to go by. Mine even had a special offshoot just for dancers. I hope the tests today are conclusive and that you can be on the road to recovery soon. (Consider mentioning the recent bouts of faintness, as long as you're there and paying for the doctor's time anyway? :P)

I'll mention it.
