I wondered that too elsewhere on FB. Where is that young man? I hope he's not incredibly distressed and alone somewhere.

I was struck at the end of an article on it in the NY Post, I think, by the quote from a young teenager who knew the people who did the recording. She was saying that she knew these people and there was no way they wanted to hurt anybody. Also, that she was sure it was just a practical joke gone wrong. The entire point of practical jokes is that someone is the butt of them, you hurt them some how. Also, did she think it was ok to be taping someone in the privacy of their own space? That alone isn't acceptable. Just that one first step was enough to harm someone and was obviously exactly what the people taping wanted to do. You do not accidentally remotely video tape someone in another room without that being your actual goal. I really dislike what is becoming acceptable to teens. This young man deserved better treatment as a human being of any stripe.
