Fascinating article

How I Lost Faith in the Pro-Life Movement.

This is an account of how a woman, step-by-step, came to change her mind.

Wow, that was awesome.

I still see my church (Catholic) disapproving because they want not only to save the unborn babies, but to change people's attitudes about children. That babies should not be treated as inconvenience or "punishment" - which is why they don't like birth control. The view is that you should either take responsibility enough/have enough self control not to have sex - or to use Natural Family Planning (which is NOT the rhythm method, but uses temperature charting and works for any cycle length or irregularity) - or to be open to children at any time. This is why they disapprove of both abortion AND birth control, and I don't see this article as changing that view. However, I - like you - found the article fascinating, and really appreciated her research and honesty. I've sent the link to my mom - and I wish my grandma (a fervent supporter of Planned Parenthood) was still alive to read it.
