52 Card Project 2021: Week 29: Futility

I really don't want to talk about this one much.

Briefly: all the imbalance stuff from last week is continuing. Plus we are having another heat wave.

I am dealing with a lot of Rob's Stuff. Specifically, I have to move a ton of junk out of the basement because I need to put in drain tile. And I have spent a good number of hours dealing with an old legal trust account of Rob's, and came to the conclusion that I have to tell the state of Minnesota that I cannot claim the money in the account: Rob didn't jump through the necessary legal administrative hoops to verify his claim upon it, so I get to kiss that $2,900+ goodbye.

I'm rather salty about it.

Heartfelt ARGH on your behalf with regard to the trust money.

Also, I very much admired the balance card you posted earlier, but it caused quite a lot of feelings that were very distracting; and I didn't want to actually blorf them all over your journal but couldn't really start typing without risking that.

So, um, very good job with the card and I sympathize heartily with its subject, though the details of our teetering around are different.

If all you need is his signature on the correct form(s), I am sure a copy of those forms will turn up. I am sure he signed whatever it is.
