Friends meme

I answered these questions on [livejournal.com profile] cruisedirector's LJ, so I sorta feel obligated to ask them in my own; turnabout is fair play. (I usually do a variation on this when my friends list pops up another hundred or so. So I'm early this time. Humor me.)

1. When did you first "friend" me? [Actually, you can find out the exact date by clicking here]
2. Why did you first "friend" me?
3. What posts of mine do you like to read the best?
4. What would you like me to write about that I don't?
5. Do you think we would be friends in real life?
6. How often do you read my journal?
7. What do we have in common?
8. Will you post this in your journal so I can answer?
9. Is there anything you want to ask me that you think you should know about me to avoid the impersonality of the internet that I have not already covered in some TMI post or other?
Feel free to answer as many or as few as you like.

(Of course, you may also feel free to answer none at all.)

1. The form says September 29, 2004, but i'm not certain that's the exact date.

2. I kept seeing links to your posts in other journals. and I devoured The Wild Swans in an afternoon, and want to keep up with what you're writing now.

3. They're all pretty good posts, really. I like the writing and progress ones and the ones about family and suchlike. I think they're balanced. I do, however, still feel an (entirely personal and neurotic) feeling that I should read and keep quiet, for the most part.

4. Hmm. I can't think of anything, really.

5. Honestly, I've no idea. I'm a difficult person to deal with. Some people do, some people don't - and the rhyme is out there somewhere with the reason.

6. Every time a post of yours pops up on my friends list. (I don't have a list that is unweildy long - in fact, if I'm really suffering from time I'll hit a friends of list for one of my other friends and check that out.)

7. Well, we both write (though you're better at it than I am. Lately you've been worried about being to slow - I can only laugh and say, you're doing far, far better than I am, so don't sweat it.) If I lived in the right place, we would have both voted liberal (though I think i'm further on the left than you are. I'm not sure. you vote NDP in Canada and you're pretty much a socialist through and through.)

8. I won't. Any time I post anything that requires feedback from my readers, they vanish, so I don't distress them with such things. (rant on and on about my stupid hair, though, and my people are there for me.)

9. Um. I'm pretty comfortable with the oddnesses of what one knows and doesn't know about someone they only know from pixels, so I hardly ever ask anything.
