I answered these questions on cruisedirector's LJ, so I sorta feel obligated to ask them in my own; turnabout is fair play. (I usually do a variation on this when my friends list pops up another hundred or so. So I'm early this time. Humor me.)

1. When did you first "friend" me?

I can't remember for sure, but it was at least a year ago, maybe even two... *checks* A year and a half! (April 28, 2003)

2. Why did you first "friend" me?

Someone on my Friends list mentioned your journal, and I was interested reading about the writing life from the POV of someone who's been in the industry for a while. And I enjoyed the posts I saw.

3. What posts of mine do you like to read the best?

Despite my reasons for Friend-ing you, I find I most look forward to reading your family posts. The four of you have a great dynamic and I love reading the stories about the girls. I also like your political posts (you express yourself very passionately but also with consideration and clarity) and of course the posts about 'the writing life'.

4. What would you like me to write about that I don't?

Well, I'd be interested in hearing more about your experiences with your first two books--writing them, getting them published, etc.--but that's mostly because I wasn't around to hear about that when it was happening. No complaints about current content! :)

5. Do you think we would be friends in real life?

Hard to say. I have trouble getting a read on people I've only 'met' online. But we certainly have many similar interests and opinions, so there's a good chance of it.

6. How often do you read my journal?

I check my Friends list at least once a day, and if you've got a new post, I read it then.

7. What do we have in common?

We write. We take our writing seriously. We enjoy fantasy and ideas of a speculative nature. We find mythology fascinating. We like Jane Austen. We dislike Bush. We think family and freedom are important.

8. Will you post this in your journal so I can answer?

Sure, why not.
