Okay, when you make a post like that, are you looking for suggestions? Not actively seeking suggestions, but not minding if you get some? Just expressing your situation? Any combination of the above?

I always wonder, not just about you. Everyone's different.

I see a post like that, and half of me wants to say, "Wow, I know the 'I don't want to go to Karate' thing. For me, I ended up realizing that if I didn't know if I wanted to go or not, or I /felt/ like skipping, I should go; if I shouldn't go, I would *know* I shouldn't go." And, "Make a list of all the things you can't get enough time to yourself to do when you /do/ have the girls around, and cultivate a sense of delicious, illicit enjoyment while you do them!" Or, "Something visual art-y? Or music-y? I know that's what I'm needing right now, anyhow."

And half of me wants to say, "Yeah, it must be weird to have the house so empty. Is there pleasure mixed up in the missing of the girls, or is it all just missing them? Anyhow, I hope you find something lovely to do with your gorgeous day." And leave it at that.

I've got the fix-it bug, same as anyone else, but I have /slowly/ been learning to make it shut up, sometimes. So, I'm curious. Some people post about a quandry in order to get advice, some people are actively irritated by advice...there's a whole range.

Also, I'm nosey. Some people do not like being asked things like this in their journal. But I'm writing this hours and hours after you posted, so you might very well simply not have seen it, and thus, quite understandably never respond at all.
