Anniversary Pic

Here's a new picture that Rob and I took on our last anniversary, which I like quite a bit.

[For those of you who are going to The Witching Hour, here is what Rob looks like; come up and introduce yourself if you see him there. Please do, because I am hoping that he will bring me back lots of greetings from all of you].

awesome! I was just thinking yesterday, 'I need to find a picture of Rob, so I can look out for him.' *grin* I'm sorry you won't be at TWH, but it's great Rob can come and be your emissary, so to speak ;)

From the pictures you've posted of your girls... it really seems like Fiona looks *just* like you, and Delia looks like Rob!

Delia's mustache and beard is a little less developed, however.

Wonderful picture! Do you have highlights in your hair?

Yes, I did a little highlighting at the beginning of the summer, a first for me.

what? why is he going?

Rob and I joined the Board of Directors of HPEF, the non-profit organization that runs the Harry Potter symposia (we ran Nimbus 2003, and we will be putting on Lumos in Las Vegas in 2006). The Board asked me to join, but when they asked me to suggest other candidates, I suggested Rob, since he has really extensive experience running conventions. I eventually resigned from the Board because of the press of the time commitment, but Rob continues on. The Board is reimbursing his travel expenses (the board will be meeting in person at TWH, which is a big deal as the BOD members reside all over the country), so he is able to go, but we can't afford to send both of us.

Totally OT

The Wild Swans has been sitting on my bookshelf for a while now.

Last night I finally took it down and read it.

Dangit. You made me cry.

Thank you for that. It was beautiful.
