Saw it tonight

Yes, I had a ticket for 9:00 p.m. tonight. But that wasn't soon enough. So I went insane and even though I have to work tomorrow, er today, I went to the 12:01 a.m. show. I just got home.

[livejournal.com profile] alexmalfoy I'm not even going to put up a cut tag because you don't need to avert your eyes. All I'm going to say is, if you hate Tolkien, and/or hated the first movie and/or refused to see it (yes, I know you're in that last group, [livejournal.com profile] papersky), you will probably won't see this one, I know. But for those, like me, who loved the first one, this one is more so. I'm too fried to give a review; will just say that I will go again to that 9:00 p.m. tomorrow, er tonight.

It's wonderful. Yes, there are parts where it departs from Tolkien, but . . . well, see if for yourself.

[Staggers off to bed, will be getting up in, like three hours. Aargh]

Yawning,
Peg

Your dedication. I haven't seen the movie, yet.

I'm so jealous. I wanted to go to the midnight showing, but had Rosa with me (as usual for Tuesdays) so I couldn't. I'm going tonight though. And then probably again three or four more times in the next month or so. ;-)

you sound like me. I can't wait to see it again!!!!

That *is* dedicated. Cassie, Ali and I went to the advance 9pm showing -- and we're going again today because it was so utterly wunderbar.

Not really about this (I don't see it until Saturday morning!), but you were saying about Madame Alexander dolls. The local Tuesday morning (a MacDonalds variety of Banks) has Madame Alexander dolls at the moment. I was tempted by 'Marmee', and even more by 'Maid and Dragon', but I didn't fall. It look as if they are half price - but that is still $39 for the smaller ones. Very interesting.

I'd never have looked if you hadn't said anything.
