pegkerr | Another busy weekend

There are some people to whom I owe e-mails--I'll get around to you, please forgive me. This will be short, quick and rather prosaic: this weekend, I took the girls to the Diamond Nationals karate tournament. Neither placed in the form division. Delia took a second place trophy in sparring, and Fiona took third place in sparring (in the latter case, that's not saying much, because there were only four girls in her division, and they awarded both losers of the first two fights third place trophies. As for her fight--well, she got clobbered, folks. Nary a point. There were some tears afterwards, not because she got hurt, but out of disappointment. But she seems to have recovered).

I bought blouses for the girls for taking our yearly family portrait. This involved a great deal of wrangling--Delia and I did not see eye-to-eye on buying the only pants that would work, and they didn't have the right colored skirt in her size. We finally worked it out. We went to a party at

minnehaha B. and K.'s, which was fun, but Rob did not show up when expected, so I had to leave at 10 p.m. to take the girls home and put them to bed, which cut the night short for me.

Today was church, and the portrait shoot, and then home for housework (cleaning, planning grocery list, laundry). I have not looked at LJ all weekend.
