Well, that was an hour and a half I'll never see again

I can't believe that my kids made me sit through the whole thing.

Legally Blonde 2 has to be the stupidest movie I've seen . . . um, in the last decade.

The first one sort of won me over.

This one was just awful.

That movie is at the far end of the ideal that is held up for girls to this day, even if it is done in a quasi-injunctive way. Not funny that it was girls who insisted you watch it.

This stuff is worse than anything in the pre-feminist 60s, and yet no one is attacking it or anything.

Expose them to international cinema as soon as you can....

Yeah, I was so ticked off at Legally Blonde II. the first one worked beautifully, but in the second one, it's as if the first never happened, and the whole thing is just ditzy. I mean, come on, what high-powered lawyer ever wears pink to work? Or a huge hat? Or keeps her teeny-tiny lap dog with her wherever she goes? Or does all of the sorority nonsense?

It was awful. I wish they'd do a remake and do it right.

It was pretty bad. But the DC jokes were fantastic for a DC resident! I watched it in the theatre here and people were crying at some of the passing jokes and references in there about the city.

I hadn't seen the first one, so I had no expectations. So when I saw whatever movie I originally went to see, in the theater, and then went in to LBII's theater to see more previews, and stayed to watch most of LBII (in other words, snuck in illegally, for the first and last time), I kinda liked it, in a "this is really dumb" sort of way.

I liked the sorority phone-tree activation and that shtick.

The rest of it? Heinous. I mean, the gay dog thing? That was just poor.

Hey, at least it wasn't The Postman, that was three hours of my life I'll never get back.
