Still no e-mail. My frustration has reached ominous, nay, nuclear levels.

But here's good news: I've made it to Weathertop on the Walk to Rivendell! Two hundred and forty-one miles.

Cheers,
Peg

*applauds Peg's fortitude and perseverance*

But do be careful at Weathertop! Especially at night!

I'm about 12K from Bree. Keep a seat for me by the fire when you reach Rivendell, please. I'll have to pick up the pace a bit.

This is such a cool way to set excersise goals! I'm trying to do 30 mins on a treadmill 3 times a week, but haven't been tracking the mileage. Did you originate this, or is it something other LOTR fans are doing? I'm not a huge LOTR fan, although I did enjoy the movie and am in love with Aragorn (of course, are you surprised...given my obsession with other dark haired gruffy men :::cough:::Sirius:::cough:::sean:::cough...not that sean is gruffy...anyway...how would a neophyte start out? or catch up or whatever?

No, it wasn't my idea. It originated on a Weight Watcher's board, I believe, but people from other communities are doing it, too, all over the world. I included the Walk to Rivendell link in my entry. Just click on the link to read more. It's very easy to sign up. Check it out!

Congratulations! I just started this challenge, so I can't wait to catch up with you...hopefully, eventually.
