She's in that peculiar teenage stage where she is convinced that if she smiles for the camera she will die. I may be biased (okay, well, I am) but I think she's still insanely beautiful anyway.

See,I smiled as a teenager, showing off all of my "lovely" braces and making the effect even more awkward. She is totally gorgeous, although there is a certain coltishness, a not-quite-all-the-way-grown look, but it's a cute coltishness, not a gangly, awkward sort of look. I'm quite jealous of my own sister who has just become a teenager and is insanely beautiful. Everyone says we look the same (and we do mostly), but I was WAAAAAAAAAAAAY more awkward looking as a teenager and I have the pictures to prove it. ::sigh:: Kids are so much prettier now than when I was a kid. Must be something in the water.
