The drama of Bill Harris and Miss Kitty
I swear, this reads like a 19th century penny dreadful novel. Or like the plot of the weekly Lassie sitcom ("What Lassie? You say Timmy has fallen down the well? Lead the way!"). But I find myself utterly suckered in and wanting to read the happy ending.

I can't take the pet stories. I have to turn off the TV whenever they start talking about the pets. It's bad enough to talk about the people, but I just can't take the inhumane way they're separating people from their pets, or the stories of pets people left behind to die.
