I swear, this reads like a 19th century penny dreadful novel. Or like the plot of the weekly Lassie sitcom ("What Lassie? You say Timmy has fallen down the well? Lead the way!"). But I find myself utterly suckered in and wanting to read the happy ending.

Date: 2005-09-09 06:06 pm (UTC)I can't take the pet stories. I have to turn off the TV whenever they start talking about the pets. It's bad enough to talk about the people, but I just can't take the inhumane way they're separating people from their pets, or the stories of pets people left behind to die.

sure, a woman refusing to leave without her 15 cats could make someone scream, but this guy had a heart and did what it took to get her to leave- trying to be firm, but not berating her or leaving her behind.
