I found this very interesting both as a window into John Granger's reaction, but also, in the last third, as an indication of his presumptions about Dumbledore's characterization and character - that he was celibate, that his attraction to Grindlewald was not reciprocated, etc. If that's what he needs to do to have it make sense to him, then I can understand that, though. Thanks for linking to it - it was an interesting read.
