Happy Birthday, Harry and Jo; Harry and the Potters playing tonight

Happy birthday to Harry Potter and Jo Rowling, with thanks for all the fun you've given us.

And hey, we've got a terrific way to celebrate. Harry and the Potters are here in Minneapolis and playing tonight at the Triple Rock Social Club (629 Cedar Avenue South, Minneapolis). Tickets are $12 at the door (and I would have only had to pay $10 if I'd been sufficiently organized to get them in advance, but noooooooo.) Doors open at 5:00 p.m.

Peg - if we get you a flyer in the next 20 minutes (I can put it up in the board yahoogroup) can you print out a bunch of copies to hand out about Azkatraz?

I think that might work. Hopefully they'll have a table there with the HP Alliance Wrock the Vote campaign; if they do, we can leave the flyers at the same table.

Which board, by the way? The HPEF board? If there's a Yahoo board for the Azkatraz event, I don't think I've joined it yet, and I'm not at my home computer if you send an invite.

Cool! And yeah - it's not publicly public yet but Andrew Slack's going to be one of the speakers on What's Right vs What Is Easy & using the books to teach social justice (just confirmed! yay!).

Dumb question: if the doors open at 5, what time does the music start? Will the other bands play first? (I go to hear very very very little music and even less in bar-type places so I am as clueless as it gets about this sort of thing.)

I'm not sure myself. I called the club to try to find out, but no one is answering the phone yet; presumably they'll open later today.
