I bombed out on my first attempt on Week 5.

I managed 30, then 24, then I collapsed at 12. Dammit.

Okay, I'll give myself a day of rest, and then I'll go back to week 4. Dammit, dammit, dammit. I'll try to do the third column at least.

I could really feel strain at the surgical scar. I thought it would be all the way healed by now.

I'd say stick with the column you're on on re-do Week 4. Unless Week 4 was a super-breeze for you, repeating the same sets will still be beneficial.

I get the distinct impression that the whole challenge is a work in progress and that people have complained a lot about certain transitions, so I doubt this has anything to do with your fitness level. It's much more likely that the model is flawed.

I don't know; I've got a scar on my hand that didn't actually cut through any muscle tissue or anything and I can still feel it when I stretch my hand out all the way.

It's from when I was nine, so seventeen years ago or so. I mean, not STRAIN, and it never causes any problems, but I still know it's there.

I switched to the new plan, which doesn't require as many reps in the first couple of rounds - it was a lot more manageable. Might want to give it a try.
