Too sleepy to make a proper post

Starting with www.coolpeoplecare.org, I went looking for websites that would have suggestions for things people could do, every day, to reduce worldsuck, and I found a bunch. An article there led me to the Case Foundation, which led in turn to this list of other organizations. Bookmarks galore!
I still need to think about how I'm going to do this, but I think for now, if I report Decrease Worldsuck stuff, I'll put it behind a cut tag.
What I did today to make the world a better place:
I followed up on a conversation with a coworker who is having health issues in his family by sending him some web information about the medical condition we discussed.
Discussed this Decrease Worldsuck stuff with Kij; she's been doing some thinking along the same lines.
I called up my nephew (a young entrepreneur in his twenties who is starting up his own music production business) and took him out for lunch, my treat. We talked about how his business is growing, which was extremely interesting. We also talked about my Decrease Worldsuck project (we actually discussed it some over Christmas) and further discussed the idea of how he might approach the Playing For Change nonprofit for musicians, which I'd told him about. He going to see what kind of volunteer opportunities they might have. Maybe we could convince them to start one of their music schools in Mexico, in conjunction with the orphanage my family's been involved with?
While at church tonight, I emptied the pennies in my wallet into one of the collection boxes for Pennies for Peace, the program building schools in Southeast Asia (this is a program started by the organization started by Greg Mortenson, who wrote Three Cups of Tea: One's Man's Mission to Promote Peace . . . One School at a Time)
