Forgive me while I preen, but I just had to boast a bit. We've had some really great playing the last couple days on [livejournal.com profile] hpalternity, like here and here.

(Anyone out there still reading and enjoying? What bits have you particularly liked? We're starving for feedback.)

What I did yesterday to make the world a better place: I printed out information about which fruits and vegetables are best to buy organic, and I practiced the songs I'll be singing at the church's Valentine Day's luncheon with the accompaniast.

Still loving it. I read about twice weekly so enough can accumulate (I fell behind around Christmas, and it got daunting, but worth it!)

(and yes, I did write a review and encourage people! In November, I think.)

I do wonder about whether it will survive for the full seven years, or the full out cast; the cumulative word count will be tremendous. But in many ways, i think the new worldbuilding is better than some of Rowling's. (She had great strengths there, but also great blind spots. This seems to be the advantage of the group dynamic.)

I am still reading, and I love the interaction between Hermione and boot (poor little boot! Carrow is truly scary). I also am loving Harry's inquisitiveness and how he's slowly figuring things out. Also, Draco and Harry as friends=much love from me! (old-school Draco-lover here)

Pansy's character is a really interesting one, and the half-blood students' struggles are heartbreaking.

I think you are all doing a wonderful job, and I hope you keep it up for all seven years!

I'm loving it. I really like the development of the characters that didn't get much ink in the original version, where there's more room to play. (And the parts that you linked to -- especially the prank -- were fantastic.)

I'm missing Ron. Presumably real life intruded for his player, but having the cross-House friendships we never really got to see in the books was neat.

We hope to find another Ron, soon. We were very pleased with the player we had, but yeah, real life intruded. Hey, it happens.

Ron's just about our top priority for new casting at the moment.

I absolutely love it. I missed a few days cause I was away, but I am still following it. I am amazed at the high quality of role playing that goes on and there is no character that does not amaze me.

Congratulations to you all.

Let us know if you're interested in being a player. We do have an open casting call at the moment, and I know you've played before.
