desayunoencama) popped up on my friends list, and I'd like to introduce him and welcome him to LiveJournal (he's just started, so give him lots of encouragement). I became aware of Lawrence's work when I received a promotional copy of a book he edited, Things Invisible to See: Gay and Lesbian Tales of Magic Realism, which I certainly enjoyed. Lawrence has many other books, short stories, essays and poems to his publishing credit, and then I was fortunate enough to meet him at a con (was it World Fantasy? Can't remember) where he certainly impressed me very much with his thoughtful and authoritative contribution to a panel he was on concerning trends in gay genre publishing. Make him feel welcome, people. He's somebody worth knowing.
