Sirius Black at Hogwarts

I always thought Neil Gaiman is my image of Sirius. Now he has helpfully provided a picture of what he looked like while at Hogwarts.

I only realized Neil Gaiman was Jewish, at least by heredity, when he mentioned kaddish at his father's funeral. (I should have known, seeing as I went to Hebrew school with a couple of brothers named Gaiman, but just never thought about it.) But it's really, really apparent, to me at least, in that photo. Which raises some interesting questions about Sirius and by extension old wizarding families in general.

I am very glad that he didn't go to my high school (and that he's some years older than me) because otherwise I would have had one more hopeless crush to my name.

Dang, that is TOTALLY what Sirius looked like at Hogwarts.

You can't see the Gryffindor colors on the scarf because it's a black and white photo.
