We're home.

We left the orphanage Friday morning and drove through the night, arriving back at 5:00 p.m. tonight. Alas, it was a journey that will live in infamy. Of the sixty or so people coming back on the bus and two vans, fifteen people succumbed during the journey to a virulent stomach bug, causing vomiting. It got to be quite a hazmat situation: everyone had bags at their seat because people were falling violently ill with very little warning, and several had repeated episodes (Delia, alas, was one in that latter group). On top of everything else, one of the vans developed a flat tire, necessitating a tire change and detour to purchase a spare.

I'm cutting this short because I'm feeling queasy and fear I will be getting sick sometime tonight. But yes, we're home, yes, it was an amazing adventure, and I'll tell you all about it (and post some pictures) sometime soon. Once I'm sure my stomach has settled down.
