Fiona . . . flu?

Fiona has been feeling pretty punk the last few days and woke up today with no voice. I finally put the pieces together this morning and smacked myself on the head. Duh. I called the clinic and we're taking her in tomorrow to get evaluated to see if she has H1N1. We know it is at her high school. She doesn't have a fever now, but we'll see how she feels later today. I'm going to be a tyrant about pushing fluids.

I'm so mad at myself. I let her go to school on Friday and she got together with friends yesterday for a school project; I wasn't thinking it through.

I hope that Fiona is feeling better today and that there's a clear diagnosis one way or the other from the doctor. Are the rest of you staying well?

I consulted the clinic today, and they said not to bring her in after all, since she didn't have a fever, and they are telling clinics now that it's not necessary to test for tracking purposes. If it's H1N1, it's a very mild case. She'll be okay. She and Delia are both home from school, just to be cautious (Delia has a mild sore throat, too).
