pegkerrI didn't realize that Rob had fallen out of the habit of checking the P.O. box until he unexpectedly brought home a package last Friday that you had sent to me almost two months ago for my birthday! Please don't think I was ignoring your gift. I LOVE scones, and I've wanted that cookbook and scone pan for so long. There are several recipes I want to try as soon as possible.
I am also very eager to read the Verlyn Flieger. I really enjoyed her last book, Splintered Light, and was so impressed with her analysis. I plan to read this one right away.
Well, that's one way to spread out my birthday celebration as long as possible! Seriously though, thank you so very much. I will enjoy the gifts you've sent me with a great deal of pleasure.
