I went into Rob's email (always a very hard thing to do) earlier this week and ran across a message from a friend who had taken portraits of Rob at Minicon 46 (ten years ago) and sent him a link to the archive. The link was down, but I remembered Geof taking those portraits and how much I'd liked them. I took the chance and emailed him to ask if he still had those pictures, and he graciously replied. Yes, he still had the pictures and he sent me a link.

Included with them was a picture that I think is my favorite picture of Rob of all time. It was taken before cancer emerged, and it captures his sweetness, that inner twinkle.

So: here is my favorite picture of the man that I loved.
