But I hope you don't mind if I ask - of the 8 people in this story who tested positive, did any of them get confirmation with a PCR test? And are any of you actually sick? Everything I can find online insists that the big danger of home antigen tests is false negatives (up to 30%) but that false positives are rare (in the neighborhood of 1%). I am really starting to wonder if that is true, given the anecdotal stories I have been hearing about false positives.
I want to stress that I hope that all of you are feeling okay or are minimally ill. I don't want my scientific curiosity to overshadow that. But I would like more idea how seriously to take the results of these home tests.
