The sale's over
May. 18th, 2002 09:47 pmWe did a little better today. We got rid of some of the larger pieces of baby paraphenalia, although Rob was rather irritated that I lowered the prices as much as I did. We also unexpectedly bought a stove. Our neighbor down the street was selling it, it fit our kitchen, it was the right color, and it cost $35.00. I now will have an oven large enough to cook a large pizza.
Unreasonably crabby tonight. I suppose it's because I'm upset that there was a lot of stuff left over that we couldn't sell--we couldn't giveit away--and Rob insisted on hauling it all back indoors to store in the basement again rather than throwing it away.
I also was not pleased that the girls amused themselves all afternoon by taking their allowance and browsing through the neighbors' yards sales, buying THEIR junk, and bringing it back home.
I live with three agents of chaos, and am losing the battle against entropy.
