Up late, yawn
Oct. 7th, 2003 07:33 amUp quite late for an HP Education Fanon board meeting, which we hold on Yahoo Messenger. We're going to have another meeting in a week; we have so much business to cover. We're supposed to have our annual election of officers, but alas, our dear John Walton
folk has discovered he cannot access Yahoo from China, which means he cannot be in contact with the Board. This is a serious blow, as John was our president, and we all loffed him muchly. The nominating committee has to scramble to figure out what to do now about our slate of candidates. (Here's irony for you: John was on our nominating committee).
I ran the meeting last night as acting chair. That was interesting; I've never done anything like that before. I kept turning to Rob (he's on the board, too, and so was also present) and asking, "Uh, do we need a motion here or what?"
Will be yawning a lot today. Don't take it personally.
