Delia is still sick
Aug. 16th, 2004 11:36 amShe was close to 103 this morning. This has been going on since Friday morning. I just got back from the clinic with her. The mono test was negative (although they explained that if it's just starting, it could be a false negative). They are testing her for Lyme's disease, because of that camping trip we took, although the doctor thought that was unlikely. Her white blood cell count and platelet counts were a little low, which makes them think it's a virus. So another day of rest and forcing fluids.
Delia did not like having her blood drawn. She Did Not Like It, and she wept in protest, but she held her arm very still, and we praised her extravagently for her bravery. I'm going down now to see if she would like me to do a craft project with her.
