Reviewing the year
Dec. 14th, 2004 11:09 pmI've been paging through my LiveJournal, sort of to refresh myself for writing a holiday letter (a task which I am not exactly embracing with relish). Wow. It, um, has been a pretty tough year in a number of ways, hasn't it? I forgotten about all the car troubles we had, not just this fall, but last February, too. Very expensive car troubles. And we had lice. Several times. And I had shingles. And Delia was so, so sick this summer. This was also the first year (in, what, ten or so?) that I made absolutely no money whatsoever from writing. Zilch. Zip. That's depressing.
And I kept going, despite all that life thrown at me this year. I look over it, and I feel rather a stab of pride in myself for continuing to pick myself up and keep going. And I even tried to write. Tried, anyway. (Go, me!)
kijjohnson, I missed our call this weekend, and didn't hear from you tonight, either. You ok? I really wanna go out for coffee with you. *Sigh*
