Various trivial observations
Aug. 30th, 2005 06:27 pmThe hospital took only an hour to give me a rabies shot today instead of two and a half. This is an improvement.
I seem to be coming down with a cold.
I have gained weight again, and am near my top weight of all time. This is disgusting and immensely frustrating. I do not feel good about myself. I blame vacation eating. It is time to resume morning workouts. Yes, Peg, it is time.
The left leg, to which I Did Something Bad perhaps a week and a half ago in karate, is protesting resumption of morning workouts. I thought I had stretched it out carefully before class yesterday, but it felt Very Much Not Right during my attempt to do a step workout tonight. I cut the workout short. Ice tonight. Must concentrate on upper body, abs and yoga until it is better.
I tried the dry cleaners in my office building for the first time, bringing them my two month old Gap jacket, of which I am inordinately found. I just got a contrite call from them, explaining that the sleeve got caught and completely shredded by their machine. They will reimburse me fully for the jacket, but I will think twice before rewarding them with my custom in the future.
The amount of laundry needing to be done is frightening.
We still need to buy school supplies, but have not been able to because I had to pay two day care payments with the last paycheck instead of one.
I am tired of cooking for my family. Fiona in particular is eating very unhealthily, but I cannot figure out how to get her to eat more fruits and vegetables.
No, I am not asking any of you to solve any of these minor problems, which is why I am disabling comments. I am just reporting them because I am bored, more than a little morose, and must go down and try to figure out something to cook that my tiresomely fussy offspring will eat.
