Rob is on his way
Oct. 5th, 2005 07:10 amI drove Rob to the airport at an ungodly hour this morning. (He left all the dishes unwashed, too, damn him.)
He has the laptop along, and so I have given him permission to make guest posts this week in my journal to give us reports from The Witching Hour.
I wish I could have gone. I REALLY wish I could have gone. I said as much this morning, and he said, "You could have." And yeah, I could have--if I had been willing to put this family even more in hock than it is now, and after our trip to California this summer, I just wasn't willing to do that. And what the hell would we have done with the kids? So I get to be all noble and virtuous and reliable parental instead--and miss all the fun.
Damn. This morning in particular, I really really hate being noble. (Particularly when I have to get up at 5:30 a.m. to do it. AND he leaves me with the damn dishes.)
